  • Dr. Aquil Basheer, Nationally Renowned Expert in Community-Based Public Safety

  • Aqeela Sherrills, CEO & Co-Founder, Community-Based Public Safety Collective

  • Captain Robert Hawkins, Los Angeles City Fire Department

These leaders have each pioneered life-saving work on the frontlines—shifting the culture of public safety and restoring hope to communities across the country.

This gathering marks the official launch of a five-year initiative to expand and scale innovative violence intervention and public safety efforts that work.

Celebrate the legacy and ongoing impact of these honorees—and expand their shared mission to reduce violence and increase healing-centered community safety.
